JUI-F chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the completion of the Western Route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will usher an era of progress and development for southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said this while visiting an under construction Western Route of CPEC at Rehmani Khel, Yarak area of D I Khan on Sunday. He discussed various aspects of Western route with Director (Project) National Highway Authority (NHA) Farid Ullah Khan.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the Western Route was a dream that is near fulfilment today. He said that after its completion the fate of the area would be changed and the people would start business with the entire world. The JUI-F Chief alleged that an industrial zone was also included to construct in Dera Ismail Khan but unfortunately the provincial government shifted it to Rashakai at district Nowshera. He said that JUI-F will struggle for development of Dera Ismail Khan and would not tolerate any kind of injustice. He further said that work has been expedited on link roads which would connect Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan with Punjab.
