Director Social Welfare & Baitul Maal Muhammad Aslam Maitla has said that the Department has provided jobs to 54 disable persons in various government departments in Rawalpindi Division. He stated this while chairing a meeting held in the Directorate of Social Welfare & Baitul Maal on Saturday. Muhammad Aslam Maitla informed that under the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Naseem Aslam Chaudhry and DC Rawalpindi Talat Mehmood Gondal, process for the provision of jobs to disable persons was completed with the cooperation of Disable Committee Members and after fulfilling all the codal formalities, appointment letters had been issued to disable persons including visually impaired persons in different departments in Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal and Rawalpindi districts.
He said that the Punjab government is striving hard to provide job opportunities to disable persons so that they would become active part of society and earn their livelihood in a respectable way. The Director Social Welfare & Baitul Maal appreciated the contributions and support of district administration and related departments with regard to provision of jobs to special persons in their respective departments.
