JUI-F Punjab president passes away

Prominent religious scholar and President Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Punjab, Maulana Rasheed Ludhianvi passed away in Rahimyar Khan on Sunday at the age of 73 years. He left behind three sons and two daughters and a widow.
His elder brother Maulana Shabbir Ludhianvi told Business Recorder by telephone that Maulana Rasheed's namaz e Janaza was led by Maulana Fazlur Rehman's younger brother Maulana Attaur Rehman and he buried in the afternoon in Rahimyar Khan.
Maulana Rasheed was grand son of famed Maulana Abdul Qadir Ludhianvi who played a prominent role in protection of Khatam-e-Nabuwat before partition. Maulana Rasheed had also devoted his life to the protection of Khatam-e-Nabuwat.
Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over death of former chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Punjab Maulana Rasheed Ludhianvi. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed that Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
