WWF-Pakistan in partnership with Horlicks Pakistan organised the final round of 'Horlicks Dreams for Tomorrow', a Nation-wide Art Competition that aimed to showcase skills and talent of students through art. Around 200000 students from 700 prestigious schools across Pakistan participated in the art competition conducted in 25 major cities in the country.
This was the concluding round for Karachi region in which 1,025 canvases of students from 250 schools were presented. There will be 2 more exhibitions in Islamabad and Lahore.
Speaking on the occasion, Guest of Honor Gianluca Rubagotti, Council General of Italy in Karachi said that he was impressed to see the appealing artwork developed by kids on the theme 'Dreams for Tomorrow'. He shared that such type of platforms will help children to express their inner feelings and ideas in better way. During the event, he also distributed 30 copies of 'Wildly Ours' publication by Italian artist to the winning students. He congratulated WWF-Pakistan and Horlicks emphasising that such events should be organised on regular basis in big cities as there is a need to raise awareness through artwork among students regarding their role in combating environmental challenges faced by Pakistan.
Asad Shahbaz, Regional Head Corporate Partnership and Fundraising (CPF) Department of WWF-Pakistan said that the event aimed to encourage our youth to showcase their talent and raise their aspirations. "The event was hosted to witness how students depict their dreams through the language of art and creativity", he added.
Tooba Husain, Brand Manager Horlicks explained the idea behind it was to encourage kids to think big and dream for a positive change in the future. She commented that the artwork is a unique representation of their thoughts and ideas for a bigger and a better future.
Ana Anum, Campaign Officer, CPF Department of WWF-Pakistan shared that it was the only art competition in the country that brought together students on one platform to showcase their talent, creativity and innovative ideas through paintings, sketches and artwork.-PR
