MULTAN: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has started taking steps for establishing new province of South Punjab for redressal of masses problems.

Talking to media persons here on Thursday, PTI leader, Ali Tareen said the process of change to streamline institutions had been started in the country as pledged by Prime Minister Imran Khan during his election campaign.

He informed that the government would bring the looted money back to the country.

Tareen clarified that he had never wished a portfolio, adding that they always wanted to see Imran Khan as prime minister.

Expatriates were sending foreign exchange to Pakistan and contributing donations for prime minister dams fund, he said and added that he did not intend to contest an election in future too.

To a question, Tareen said that South Punjab used to be hub of cricket, but, unfortunately, it had not contributed a big name after Waqar Younis, Inzimamul Haq and Mushtaq Ahmad.

To another question, he stated that for strengthening of domestic cricket, club cricket will have to be focused.

"Our country has lot of talent, but it lacks facilities", he concluded.
