Scrutiny of nomination papers remains continue

HYDERABAD: The process of scrutiny of the nomination papers filed by the candidates on three national and six Sindh Provincial Assembly seats from Hyderabad district remained continue in the offices of the Returning Officers on the third consecutive day on Thursday.

On NA-225, the Returning Officer scrutinized the nomination papers of five candidates and rejected the forms of Babar Chandio on charge of having dual nationality. The forms of Nahid Khan, Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, Umer Khalil Jan Sarhandi and Amir Ali Thebo have been accepted by the Returning Officer from this constituency.

On NA 226, the Returning Officer rejected the nomination forms of candidate Aftab Ahmed sheikh as he did not appear at the time of scrutiny. The nomination forms of Soulat Mirza, Zulfiqar Halipoto, Muhammad Bilal Qureshi, Ashar Khan, Shabbir Ahmed, Muhammad Hanif and Abid Ali have been accepted by the Returning Officer from the same constituency.

On NA-227, the Returning Officer rejected the nomination papers of Raza Muhammad Abbasi on technical grounds and accepted the forms of Waseem Hussain, Siraj Rajput, Nadeem Siddiqui, Muhammad Rasheed Arain and Sahibzada Shabbir Hassan Ansari.

On PS-62, the Returning Officer overruled the objection on the nomination forms of Jam Khan Shoro and also approved the nominations of Kashif Shoro and Roshan Ali Buriro.

On PS-63, the Returning Officer accepted the forms of Habibullah, Muhammad Ismail, Umer Khalil and Qurban Sodho and rejected the nomination papers of Altaf Hussain, Sohail Khan and Hoth Khan Gadhi on different technical grounds.

On PS-64, the Returning Officer scrutinized the nomination forms of nine candidates and approved the forms of Shahid Nabi Abbasi, Abdul Jabbar Khan, Anwar Ahmed, Ahmed Haider, Muhammad Aijaz Shaikh, Rashid Ali, Waliullah Panhwar, Ashraf Noonari and Ashraf Ali.

On PS-65, the Returning Officer accepted the forms of ten candidates namely Muhammad Arshad, Jehanzeb Yousuf, Usama Hafeez, Aijaz Ahmed, Mehboob Khan Jat, Muhammad Tahir, Mushtaq Ahmed, Farhan Sabir, Syed Sarwar Fareed Shah and Muhammad Ali Malik.

On PS-66, the Returning Officer rejected the nomination forms of Faisal Nadeem Shaikh, Abdul Waheed Brohi on technical grounds and approved the nominations of Ali Raza, Muhammad Asif Memon and Syed Aman Ali Rizvi.

On PS-67, the Returning Officer accepted the nomination forms of Saghir Rajput, Manthar Ali Jatoi, Mir Atique Talpur, Irfan Anjum and Javed Baloch.
