Caretaker Minister assumes charge

LAHORE: Caretaker Minister for Information and Culture Punjab Ahmed Waqas Riaz on Tuesday formally assumed his office.

Secretary Information and Culture Abdullah Khan Sumbal briefed the minister about functioning of the Information Department.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by Lahore Division President Falahat Hussain, held an introductory meeting with the caretaker minister information and congratulated him.

The minister assured the delegation for promotion of cultural activities and Information and Culture Department would join hands with Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Later, the minister paid visit to Shadman and Walton Ramadan Bazaars and inspected stalls.
