Rs5.9mn being spent to construct hydro power plants in SW   

ISLAMABAD: Two hydro power plants of 27 kw capacity are being constructed in South Waziristan at a cost of rupees 5.9 million.

According to details, 15kw Hydro power project is being constructed in Upper Kanigurum and Saam area at a cost of rupees 3.9 million while 12kw capacity of Hydro power plant is constructed in Gigakhel area at a cost of rupees 2.1 million, Radio Pakistan reported.

These projects will be completed within one month and will help to provide electricity to the people of Gigakhel, Upper Kanigurum, Ladha and Saam area of South Waziristan.
