LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has arrested three persons over their alleged involvement in forging documents and cheating the public at large.
According to a NAB spokesman, during the course of an inquiry against three persons -- Muhammad Gulzar, Imran Maqsood and Malik Amjad Sadheer, sufficient evidence was collected. The evidence showed that the accused, in connivance with each other, obtained illegal monitory benefits through fraudulent activities including the use of fake NAB letters and no-objection certificates (NOCs).
The accused have been arrested on the orders of NAB Director General Lahore.
The inquiry proceedings showed that the accused gained pecuniary advantages by preparing false, forged and fabricated documents and agreements in respect of various plots of DHA Lahore and other private housing societies.
The physical remand of the accused had been obtained till June 25, 2018, by producing them before an accountability court.
