Killing of PO: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP awards certificates, cash prizes to cops

KP Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani on Monday awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes to the policemen who bravely fought against the outlaws in an encounter on Sunday. According to details a police party headed by ASI Shakeel was on routine patrolling on Dalazak Road, Gulozai Muhammadzai, meanwhile a proclaimed offender (PO) Khan Saif armed with LMG along with his accomplices came across the police party.
They opened fire on the police party due to which Constable Mukammil Shah received several bullet injuries. The police party bravely retaliated the firing and killed the proclaimed offender while his other accomplices made their escape in the darkness. The police chief on Monday called the police party to CPO and awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes to them in a ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony the IGP highly appreciated the gallantry acts of the policemen who bravely fought against the armed outlaws. On this occasion the IGP awarded ASI Shakeel and Special Police Officers (SPOs) Rooh Ullah, Laiq Shah and Haroon with commendation certificates and cash prizes. PSO to IGP Sohaib Ashraf was also present on the occasion.
