HAMBURG: South Korea's largest feedmaker Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has issued an international tender to purchase up to 69,000 tonnes of corn, European traders said on Thursday.
Tender deadline is also Thursday, April 5.
The yellow corn was sought from optional origins in one consignment of between 50,000 and 69,000 tonnes for arrival in South Korea around Sept. 5.
Shipment was sought between July 24 and Aug. 22 if sourced from the US Pacific North West Coast, between July 2 and Aug. 1 if from the US Gulf, between June 29 and July 28 if from South America and between July 7 and Aug. 6 from South Africa.
Corn from other origins can also be offered.
Chicago corn futures fell about 2 percent on Wednesday after China announced plans to impose import duties on key US commodities, including corn and soybeans.
