MOSCOW: Russian wheat export prices stayed broadly unchanged last week amid high export volumes and a slight price decline on the global grain market, analysts said on Monday.

Black Sea prices for Russian wheat with 12.5 percent protein content for April delivery stayed at $208 a tonne free on board (FOB) at the end of last week, Russian agricultural consultancy IKAR said in a note.

SovEcon, another Moscow-based consultancy, quoted FOB wheat prices at $207 a tonne, also unchanged, while barley was up $1 at $217 a tonne. Maize (corn) prices were at $199 a tonne, down $2.

As of March 28, Russia had exported 39.17 million tonnes of grain since the start of the 2017/18 season on July 1, including 30.611 million tonnes of wheat, the Agriculture Ministry said.

Grain exports were up 39.8 percent from the same period of the previous season.

Domestic prices for third-class wheat rose by 100 roubles to 8,675 roubles ($151) a tonne at the end of last week in the European part of Russia on an ex-works basis, according to SovEcon. Ex-works supply does not include delivery costs.

Sunflower seed prices rose by 25 roubles to 19,825 roubles a tonne, SovEcon said. Domestic sunflower oil prices and export oil prices were at 43,250 roubles and $745 per tonne respectively.

IKAR's white sugar price index for southern Russia was at $488.23 a tonne as of last week's end, down from $506.69 a week earlier.
