Musadik welcomes Sanjrani as chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Affairs, Senator Dr Musadik Malik Tuesday welcomed chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and expressed hope that he would play a role to further strengthen democracy.

Senators who supported the candidate of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Raja Zafarul Haq, talking to a private news channel said leadership of PML-N was hopeful but not deprived on losing Senate chairmanship., he said that PML-N would get thumping majority in the upcoming general elections on basis of performance and prudent policies.

He said former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had not used any unparliamentary language against political opponents.

Musadik Malik said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had not closed doors for talks with the PML-N government on various issues like Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He said Raza Rabbani was a competent person, who worked for promoting parliament and strengthening the democracy.
