ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tahira Aurangzeb on Tuesday said that Senate elections will not affect the upcoming general elections 2018.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, Tahira Aurangzeb said that the voters will cast votes in the next general elections on basis of their affiliation and ideology with political parties.
To a question about elections of Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Senate, she said that the polls of Senate was not conducted according the democratic system and those involved in horse trading were wrong.
“The persons who are casting votes in the Senate elections on the indication of others and involved in horse trading are totally unfair,” she added.
Tahira Aurangzeb said that it was good omen that Senate elections was completed in a democratic system and conducted in time.
