ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar on Tuesday his party stood against dictatorship and would continue struggle for civilian rule in the country.
Speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly, he said PML-N inked charter of democracy (CoD) with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to free Pakistan from clutches of dictators.
He said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged but his ideology remained alive. “The Bhutto ideology is made alive by Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,” he said.
He said Mehmood Khan Achakzai had already told how PML-N government in Balochistan was destabilized. Safdar termed July 28 verdict against PML-N Chief as first conspiracy against China Pakistan Economic Corridor and toppling of Balochistan government as second conspiracy while Senate elections was third conspiracy.
He said though PML-N could not win the Senate elections but he was confident that his party would again win the next general elections with over whelming majority.
Safdar criticized Pakistan People Party for his dual policy and alleged that PPP did nothing for Balochsitan development and prosperity during its regime.
He also sought PTI support to trial former dictator Gen Pervaz Musharraf under Article 6 of the Constitution.
