Paramedics to be given facilities as per law: Sindh CM

HYDERABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Saturday paramedics working in the government hospitals would be given facilities according to law and at par their counterparts in other provinces.

Taking to media persons in Sehwan Sharif, he said the protesting paramedical staff of the government hospitals were demanding payment of professional allowance, besides salaries, which was not possible. Payment of professional allowance would put a burden of Rs10 billion on the kitty, which would affect development works in the province, he added.

Responding to a question about the contamination of Mancchar lake and closure of RO plants in the surrounding villages, the chief minister said the Supreme Court had appointed a judicial commission on water and sanitation, which was also working over the issue.

To another query, he expressed the hope that the Pakistan Peoples Party's nominee would be elected as Senate chairman.
