CHICAGO: Following are US trade expectations for the resumption of the grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CST (1430 GMT) on Friday.

WHEAT - Down 5 to 6 cents per bushel

* Wheat heading lower on technical selling, although the most-active CBOT May contract stayed inside of Thursday's trading range. Market underpinned by dry conditions in the southern US Plains as the region's winter wheat crop resumes spring growth.

* The Commodity Weather Group said in a daily note that the southern Plains will lack moisture across nearly three-quarters of the crop belt over the next two weeks.

* The CME Group reported no deliveries against CBOT March wheat and 37 March K.C. wheat deliveries. There were six MGEX March spring wheat deliveries.

* CBOT May soft red winter wheat last traded down 5-1/2 cents at $4.93-3/4 per bushel. K.C. May hard red winter wheat was last down 5-3/4 cents at $5.27-1/2 and MGEX May spring wheat was last down 4 cents at $6.20-3/4.

CORN - Down 1 to 2 cents per bushel

* Corn lower on profit-taking a day after the CBOT May contract hit a near seven-month high, and spillover weakness from soybeans. Market underpinned by the USDA on Thursday lowering its forecast of US 2017/18 corn ending stocks more than analysts expected, citing increased demand from exporters and ethanol producers.

* The USDA said private exporters sold 260,000 tonnes of US corn to unknown destinations for 2017/18 delivery.

* The CME Group reported one CBOT March corn delivery.

* CBOT May corn last traded down 1-3/4 cents at $3.91-3/4 a bushel.

SOYBEANS - Down 9 to 14 cents per bushel

* Soybeans heading lower for a fourth consecutive session on technical selling and some forecasts for moisture in dry areas of Argentina. Some traders noted background pressure from fears that trade issues could threaten Chinese demand for US soybeans.

* The USDA said private exporters sold 183,000 tonnes of US soybeans to China and another 205,000 tonnes to unknown destinations, all for delivery in the 2017/18 marketing year.

* The CME Group reported no CBOT March soybean deliveries, 39 soymeal deliveries, with the Bunge house account stopping 31, and 18 soyoil deliveries.

* CBOT May soybeans last traded down 13-1/2 cents at $10.50-1/2 per bushel.
