LAHORE: Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore Shahzad Saleem Friday gave away a cheque worth Rs 10.8 million to DG Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Zahid Akhtar Zaman here at the NAB Office.
The amount had been recovered from the culprits involved in LDA related frauds.
According to NAB spokesman, NAB Lahore has been probing various graft cases related to LDA in which hefty amounts are known to be embezzled. Some of such cases include illegally commercialisation of properties with alleged connivance of LDA staff, while the arrest of some culprits had also been made.
Other cases involve preparing and selling of bogus/ illegal files of different plots in private housing societies. The NAB Lahore has so far recovered Rs115 million since January 2018 from the culprits and handed the amount over to the affectees or deposited in the kitty.
