MOSCOW: Russian gas giant Gazprom said Friday it would turn to an international arbitration court to break its contract with Ukraine, after refusing to resume supplies to the country this week.
"Gazprom is forced to immediately begin at the Stockholm arbitration court the process of breaking the contract with (Ukrainian operator) Naftogaz regarding delivery and transport of gas," Gazprom director Alexei Miller said in a statement carried by news agencies.
