MADRID: The number of people in Spain registering as jobless fell by 0.18 percent in February from a month earlier, or by 6,280 people, leaving 3.47 million people out of work, data from the Labour Ministry showed on Friday.
The number of people paying into the social security system as workers in Spain rose by 0.45 percent or by 81,483 people, to 18.36 million people, the ministry said.
In seasonally adjusted terms, registered unemployed fell by 23,139 people in February from a month earlier.
The number of people registering as out of work in the service sector fell by 15,133 people, in industry by 4,010 and construction by 3,800, but rose in agriculture by 10,846 people.
