HAMBURG: The Korea Feed Association (KFA) purchased about 68,000 tonnes of corn expected to be sourced either from the United States or South America in a tender which closed on Friday, European traders said.
A single consignment was purchased at about $211.80 a tonne c&f, or 5 cents lower then the price first offered, they said.
Seller was believed to be trading house CHS, they said.
The tender sought corn for arrival in South Korea in the port of Inchon around July 5.
Shipment was sought between June 1-20 if the corn is sourced from the US Pacific North West Coast, between May 12-31 from the US Gulf or between May 7-26 if sourced from South America, traders said.
