PESCO disconnects electricity to 60 houses, arrests four

PESHAWAR: The PESCO surveillance team while taking action on directives issued by the Chief Executive disconnected electricity supply to over 60 illegal consumers here the other day.

The action was taken in areas including Kalukhel, Budhani, Dadakilay, Fattu Abdur Rahima, Pakha Ghulam and Masma where illegal electricity connections of 60 houses were disconnected and four persons taken into custody.

The arrested persons were involved in meter tempering and power pilferage. FIRs were got registered against the arrested persons.

Sub Division Officer (SDO) Lala said millions of rupees were also recovered from the defaulters and added that drive against power pilferage and meter tempering would continue till its logical end.
