ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday said that 33 candidates will contest Senate elections from Sindh province on Technocrat, General, Non-Muslim and Women seats.

According to ECP, 18 candidates will contest for General seats, six for women seats, three Non-Muslim reserved seats and six candidates were in the run for Technocrat seats including Ulema.

It said six candidates on Technocrat seats included Hasan Feroz, Dr Sikandar Mandhro, Dr Abdul Kadir Khanzada, Rukhsana Zuberi, Syed Ali Raza Abidi and Muhammad Najeeb Haroon.

Candidates on three Non-Muslim reserved seats included Anwar Lal Dean, Dr Mohan Manjiani and Sanjay Perwani. Six candidates for Women seats included Dr Nikhat Shakeel, Quratulain Marri, Kishwar Zehra, Keshoo Bai, Mangla Sharma and Nasreen Jalil.

Similarly, 18 candidates who were contesting elections on General seats included Ahmed Chinoy, Imamuddin Shouqeen, Anis Ahmed Khan, Ayaz Ahmed Mehar, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Sarfraz Khan Jatoi, Syed Amin Ul Haque, Syed Mubashir Imam, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Jamot, Syed Muzafar Hussain Shah, Amir Waliuddin Chisti, Farhan Chishti, Muhammad Farogh Naseem, Muhammad Kamran Tasori, Murtaza Wahab, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Moula Bux Chandio and Mian Raza Rabbani.
