Dozens of people belonging to various areas of Kurram Agency staged a protest demonstration against the recent suicide blast in Parachinar that killed 29 civilians and injured score of others. Despite rain, the protestors assembled outside National Press Club here on Monday and took out. Led by MNA Sajjid Hussain Turi the protestors marched up to D-Chowk, Parliament house.
They were holding placards and banners inscribed with the slogans against Taliban and the government. The protestors staged a sit-in at D-Chowk and offered fateha for the martyrs of the suicide strike. Addressing the protestors Sajjid Hussain Turi accused the government, agencies and the security forces of backing Taliban and other hard core elements to keep the residents of Kurram Agency in continuos trouble. Turi said that TTP comrade Fazal Saeed Haqqani, who was allegedly protected during the recent operations by the security forces in Kurram Agency, took the responsibility of the suicide attack
He said that the recent incident was an attempt to disrupt peace of the agency and to close again the Parachianr-Peshawar road to leave the residents of the area at the mercy of Taliban and security agencies. Syed Ali Shah Kazmi, President Youth of Parachinar, highlighted that FC and security forces after the blast killed more civilians by firing and ramping with tanks. He demanded of the Chief of Army Staff to conduct the court martial of the security officers immediately who were responsible for the killings of both the innocent tribesmen from Kurram Agency. Former MNA from the area, Syed Munir demanded of the government and the security forces to take an immediate action against the Taliban commander Saeed Haqqani
