Cold, dry weather expected across country

The Met office on Monday said rain with snowfall over the hills in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir were expected in the next 24 hours. It said cold and dry weather was expected elsewhere in the country, adding, "Western disturbance is affecting upper part of the country and likely to persist for the next 2-3 days".
During the last 24 hours, it said weather remained cold and cloudy in most part the country. "However, rain/snowfall occurred at isolated places of Quetta, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir," it added. It recorded lowest temperature in Parachinar as minus 6 degree centigrade, Kalam minus 5 degree centigrade, Gupis and Hunza minus 4 degree centigrade each in the past 24 hours.
