Ireland and China have unveiled new pacts to promote trade, investment and education between their export-minded nations as part of Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping's three-day visit to the Emerald Isle. Both governments say junior officials are signing four agreements Sunday at Dublin Castle. Xi and Prime Minister Enda Kenny also are holding official talks there.
Xi, widely expected to become China's next president, and his 150-member delegation landed Saturday in Ireland after a five-day tour of the United States.
He spent Sunday morning at a dairy farm and the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland's most stunning sights, in western County Clare. He flew to Dublin to tour Croke Park, the national stadium for Gaelic sports, and to see a production of ``Riverdance.'
