DG KMC for timely completion of projects

Director General of the Technical Services of KMC asked the concerned engineers and officials working on the development projects to ensure all development projects being constructed by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation are completed on time. He issued this instruction to the engineers while he was inspecting the work being undertaken on Manghopir Road project during his site visit there.
He said the Administrator KMC Mohammad Hussain Syed issued directives to make all out efforts to expedite work for early completion of the projects being carried out under infrastructure development programme aimed at developing Karachi with better infrastructure for better Karachi. The DG Altaf G Memon said the construction work project of Manghopir Road is being implemented under Annual Development Programme Government of Sindh with the funding of Rs 104 million.
According to the press release, project is located between Manghopir Mazar and Surjani Turning. Entire surrounding will have better look and facilities to the traffic and residents after the completion of this project including the area from famous Mazar of Manghopir (which is famous because of crocodile pond. Further more important Javidan Cement is also located at Manghopir Road. The condition of the road is dilapidated and needs immediate repair. Storm-water drainage system is also needed. Due to absence of the storm-water drainage system there is great difficulty is being faced by the residents and vehicular and pedestrian traffic. However, with the completion of the project that has provision of construction of dual carriageway and new storm-water drain the problems of lack of traffic flow and traffic accidents will also be stopped.-PR
