The 22-year-old wife of a convicted French murderer and alleged serial killer has appeared in India's hugely popular reality television show "Bigg Boss." Nihita Biswas, who claims to have married 67-year-old Charles Sobhraj in a secret ceremony while he serves a life sentence in Nepal, is one of 14 contestants in the Indian version of the global hit "Big Brother."
She made her debut to roaring applause from a live studio audience, telling show hosts and Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt that she had been happily married to Sobhraj for three years. "I am proud to have him as a husband. I have nothing to hide," she said. Biswas's mother, Shakuntala Thapa, is one of Sobhraj's Nepalese lawyers. He was convicted seven years ago for the murder of American tourist Connie Joe Bronzich in Nepal's capital Kathmandu in 1975.
