Appointment letters issued to 100 nurses

On special directions of Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Health Department has issued appointment letters to newly-recruited 100 nurses for Services Hospital Lahore to combat the menace of dengue virus in an effective manner.
This was informed by Medical Superintendent Services Hospital Dr. Muhammad Javed while presiding over a meeting of hospital administration here on Sunday. Dr. Muhammad Javed informed the meeting that a number of 135,720 suspect dengue patients came to Services Hospital up till September 30, 2011. Among them a number of 133,061 patients were tested for dengue virus through CBC machines as a result 1,136 were confirmed as dengue patients and admitted in the hospital for treatment. Dr. Muhammad Javed further said that hospital administration, doctors, nurses, paramedics and other staff have been serving the dengue patients with a great zeal of devotion and passion. Patients and attendants are also being guided and sensitised about preventive measures against dengue as they have been published on backside of every prescription being issued to the patients. He said that in recognition of relentless services rendered by the hospital staff during dengue epidemic a function to be presided over by the Punjab Chief Minister would be held very soon. He said that Services Hospital team has fully participated in Chief Minister's campaign to curb dengue. The team still has the same passion and spirit to meet any challenge in line of duty to help dengue patients as inspired by the Punjab Chief Minister.
