US seizes $28.4 million in fake luxury goods

More than 60,000 fake luxury handbags, wallets and other goods with a retail value of $28.4 million have been seized at a Florida flea market, US customs authorities said Friday. Authorities said the investigation was ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
Most of the items seized from the flea market in Tampa were handbags, some of which bore the Louis Vuitton and Gucci labels, but the haul also included shoes, sunglasses and jackets, customs said. The items had mainly been produced in China, it added.
