Pakistan's top tennis star, Aisam-ul-Haq and Austrian Oliver Marach marched into the semi-finals of Thailand Open ATP tournament making short work of their Italian opponents Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini 6-4, 6-1 win on Friday. Asiam and partner displayed controlled tennis to outshine their opponents with ease and comfort, said a message received here.
Though Italians served very well with 80% first serve and 5 aces yet Aisam & partner were lethal on serve return. Aisam hit winner after winner on the Italian's services. They were especially very harsh to Fognini who looked dazzled and helpless. Aisam and partner gave no break point opportunity to their opponents but availed all the four break points they created to break Italians every time. Aisam and Oliver bagged 53 out of 86 points played while Italians went have with only 33. Earlier in the quarter finals, Aisam & Oliver beat Jamie Murray of UK and Andre SA of Brazil after a gruelling fight 6-4, 2-6, 10-7.
