Karachi Port's activities

The Karachi Port handled 109,247 tonnes of cargo comprising 91,965 tonnes of import cargo and 17,282 tonnes of export cargo including 3,035 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 91,965 tonnes comprised of 20,911 tonnes of containerised cargo; 30,654 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,463 tonnes of DAP; 24,000 tonnes of coal and 40,400 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 17,282 tonnes comprised of 15,136 tonnes of containerised cargo; 330 tonnes of general cargo and 1,816 tonnes of cement. Four ships namely Positano, Bella, Hanjin Monaco and Valdivia with four container ships sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Wan Hai-605, Hyundai General, Cap George and Blue Sand carrying three container ships and coal carrier respectively are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Hyundai General, Cap George, Eagle Stealth and Pu To Hai carrying two container ships, oil tanker and coal carrier expected to sail on Thursday, while another ship namely BBC Rhine carrying general cargo ship is expected to sail on Friday.
Four vessels viz Lt. Trieste, Emirates Kanako, MT Quetta and BBC Rhine carrying two container ships, crude oil tanker and general cargo ship respectively due to arrive on Thursday, while six vessels viz YM Fuzhou, Sagamore, APL Sharjah, YM Eternity, BBC Royal and Amazing carrying four container ships, DAP carrier and coal carrier are due to arrive on Friday.
