Pakistan Hardware Merchants Association (PHMA) Multan Chapter has said that the SRO 821(I) 2011 will not only strengthen black economy but it would also lead to corrupt practices in the country. Therefore, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) should immediately withdraw the said SRO.
These views were expressed by Central Chairman Pakistan Hardware Merchants Association (PHMA) Sardar Usman Ghani. He informed the delegation of Multan that the Central Vice Chairman of Pakistan Hardware Merchants Association Tariq Rashid phoned him from Karachi and urged him to raise voice against the SRO 821(I) 2011 that would have very devastating effect on the businesses all over the country. Sardar Usman Ghani said that the SRO 821(I) 2011, will deprive the government of much needed revenue as it would strengthen the hands of unregistered businessmen.
