AWEX, PBIT sign MoU

Director, Asia-Pacific Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX) Belgium: Michel Kempe-neers, visited Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) and held talks with the senior officials of the board who showcased potential investment sectors of mutual interest for Belgium and Punjab.
On this occasion a mutual co-operation MoU was also signed between AWEX and PBIT. The MoU was signed by Chief Executive Officer PBIT Dr Sajid Yoousufani and Director AWEX. Michel Kampe neers. Vice Chairman PBIT Rizwan Ullah Khan, briefed Michel Kempe-neers regarding the steps Punjab Government is taking to promote investment in the province and impressed upon the fact that government's will and commitment to promote, establish and protect foreign investments in Punjab is very strongly in place.
Director, Asia-Pacific Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency Kempe-neers said that AWEX and PBIT are great platforms for both the countries to maintain a steady interaction and work together to strengthen economic ties. He also said that both the counties have tremendous potential for growth hence several Belgian companies specifically from Wallon Region are interested in establishing partnership with leading Pakistani companies in the field of livestock and halal food/non food industry, hatcheries and medical sector.
He stated that We look forward towards working with PBIT in order to promote good and healthy economic and commercial relations between the two countries, especially between the Wallon Region and Punjab.
