Former president of Peoples Hari Committee, Umerkot district and former Naib Nazim of Samaro town Pir Waliullah Jan Sarhandi on Tuesday announced resigning from basic membership of PPP as a protest against massive irregularities and misappropriation in relief goods by party leaders and the bureaucracy.
Speaking at a press conference at national press club here, Sarhandi condemned massive irregularities in distribution of relief goods among the rain-affected people of Umerkot and Mirpur Khas districts and blamed the party leaders of breaking the record of corruption as according to him they have dumped the relief goods in their warehouses and guest houses from where the ration and other things are being sold to market or are being given only to the party workers neglecting the rain-affected people. He also blamed revenue officials and even DCOs and DDOs for being involved in such bungling and demanded judicial inquiry into bungling.
