Four patients' death at JPMC: removal of Sindh health secretary sought
The Steering Committee comprising doctors of JPMC, NICH and NICVD has denounced the facts established in inquiry report, issued to media, of incident took place in JPMC a coupe of days back in which four patients had lost their lives due to negligence of JPMC management. Steering Committee defines the report incomplete and inappropriate, demanding removal of Sindh Health Secretary.
The initial report appeared in a section of press held JPMC administration responsible for deaths of patients admitted in ICU of Neurosurgery Ward in spite of using available resources. The Sindh Health Secretary had established a committee to probe into the matter. Committee also called for impartial judicial inquiry into deaths, saying responsible of the incident should be brought before justice. Steering Committee termed the release to media of an incomplete, biased inquiry which even has not taken the statement of the Executive Director JPMC clearly reflects the mala fide intention of the Secretary Health to destroy the institute.
