Russian shoe retailer Centrobuv is planning a Hong Kong initial public offering (IPO), a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday, a deal reported to raise around $800 million. The size and timing of the IPO were not finalised, the source said. The Hong Kong Economic Journal reported that the offer could hit the market in the fourth quarter.
Citing sources familiar with the matter, the paper said that company has hired Morgan Stanley, BOCI, Renaissance Capital and VTB Capital to handle the IPO. Centrobuv officials and underwriters were not immediately available for comment. The source declined to be named because the discussions were private.
