ROTTERDAM: Soymeal on the European meals and feeds market eased on Friday because of beneficial rains in South American soybean growing areas. Trade was slow before the Christmas holidays.
Markets are closed for Christmas on Monday and Tuesday and will reopen on Wednesday December 27.
"Players were winding down business ahead of the holiday season and it was a very dull day overall," one broker said.
South American soymeal was offered between unchanged and $3 a tonne lower, also following the slightly easier trend in CBOT soymeal futures.
Rapemeal followed the easier tone in soymeal, with offerings between unchanged and one euro per tonne down from Thursday.
Bids were scarce and no business was reported.
