Fatima Fertiliser signs accord with German company

Fatima Fertiliser Co has entered into an agreement with N. Serve Environmental Services GMBH, a German Limited Liability Company, for development and implementation of a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project at the plant.
The development of the project is under the provisions of the UNFCCC and the Kyoto Protocol (or any subsequently agreed International Climate Change Agreement) and the generation and issuance of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) or other Abatement Benefits from the project. According to a notice sent to Karachi Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the project will generate revenue in foreign currency from the sale of CERs.
