Stable judiciary, parliament vital for democracy: Asma Jahangir

Supreme Court Bar Association President Asma Jahangir has said the stability of judiciary and parliament is vital for democracy in the country. Addressing an oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected representatives of the District Bar Association Rahim Yar Khan here on Saturday, she said democracy was vital for the progress and prosperity of the motherland.
She said the lawyers community had successfully launched a drive against a dictator and for restoration of democracy. Asma Jahangir said the attitude and behaviour of lawyers should be decent and they should be a symbol of rule of law. DAB president Sardar Hasan Nawaz also addressed.
