The Karachi Port handled 88,333 tonnes of cargo including 77,559 tonnes of import cargo, 10,774 tonnes of export cargo and 3,029 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 77,559 tonnes comprised of 21,320 tonnes of containerised cargo; 48 tonnes of general cargo; 6,236 tonnes of DAP and 49,955 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 10,774 tonnes comprised of 7,929 tonnes of containerised cargo; 20 tonnes of general cargo; 2,825 tonnes of wheat and 8,833 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Lodestar Genesis, Afamia, Abdullatif-S, Cap George, Buxmelody and STX Patriakos carrying chemicals carrier, two cement carriers and three container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz MSC Jemima, Emirates Wasi, Safina-2, Emeks and Eships Asma carrying two container ships, rice/cement carrier, ethanol ship and mogas carrier respectively are currently at the berths. A container ship namely Emirates Wasi, expected to sail on Friday, while three ships namely Hansa Constitution, CS Discovery and Eships Asma with two container ships and oil tanker respectively are expected to sail on Saturday.
Two vessels viz Remi and APL Sokhna with LSFO and container ship due to arrive on Friday, while ten vessels viz USCC Sound, Oriental Protea, Bella, YM Europe, TS Pusan APL Zircoon, Armia, Cape Manuel, Oslo Trader and Martin carrying mogas carrier, ethanol ship, six container ships, steel coils and general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 47,337 tonnes of cargo includes 21,665 tonnes of import cargo, 25,672 tonnes of export cargo and 2,119 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Friday.
The total import cargo of 21,665 tonnes includes 8,900 tonnes of palm oil and 12,765 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 25,672 tonnes includes 6,861 tonnes of wheat; 3,595 tonnes of cement and 15,216 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three container ships namely CV Nexoe Maersk, CV CSAV Pyrenesss and CV CMA CGM Eiffel sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while another ship namely MT SC Guoji will sail out to sea on the same day afternoon. A total number of eight vessels viz CV Nexoe Maersk, CV CSAV Pyrenees, CV CMA CGM Eiffel, MV Sam Eagle, MV Indigo Ocean, MV Orient-III, MV Acacia-N and MT SC Guoji are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Glory, Tamil Nadu, Al-Buhaira and Angle No II carrying containers, wheat, furnace oil and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CV Glory, MT Angle No II and MT Al-Buhaira carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Friday, while an oil tanker namely MT Al-Salam-II is due to arrive on the same day. A furnace oil tanker namely MT Kassos is due to arrive on Saturday, while three more vessels viz CV Maersk Wyoning, CV Saudi Tabuk and MT Golden Ambrosia carrying two container ships and a chemical carrier are due to arrive on Sunday.
