The Swiss franc fell against the dollar on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve confirmed it would end its bond-buying programme at the end of the month, giving the greenback a fillip. The US central bank also kept official interest rates at historic lows and signalled they will stay low for longer.
The franc fell 0.3 percent against the dollar to trade at 0.8422 by 0535 GMT compared to the New York close, after shedding most of its gains against the dollar in late trading on Wednesday. The franc dipped 0.1 percent against the euro, as markets awaited further developments on Greece.
