Violation of agro farms' term of reference: Supreme Court asks CDA to submit report within a month
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC) headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to submit detailed report regarding violations of terms of reference of agro farms within a month.
CDA Director Legal, Ramzan Chaudhry, told the bench that sever action had been taken including fines against those owners of the agro farms, who had converted the area into marriage halls, whereas the Authority required one more month to complete its survey of all the 525 farms. The CJP directed the CDA to submit conditions of farm lease in the court on next hearing and adjourned the case for a month.
