Medical Superintendent Services Hospital Dr Muhammad Javed has said that comprehensive steps have been taken to ensure maximum treatment facilities to patients and the hospital has been converted into a patient-friendly institution.
In accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, such a system has been evolved in hospital where no patient can be left unattended just for the reason of being poor.
Dr Javed further said that the private pharmacies' shops running on the contract basis within the premises of hospital are being strictly monitored and in case of complaint stern action is initiated against them.
He said that Al-Falah Medicos, a private pharmacy shop has computerised record and no complaint of corruption or overcharging was found against it in result of repeated checking by Health Department and hospital administration.
Dr Javed said that last night drug inspectors of district administration also raided the pharmacy and checked the stocks but no irregularity was detected. The concerned pharmacist was present in the shop while the computerised bills against the purchased medicines were also being given to the buyers. He said that contractors of these pharmacies give wrong information to the media due to professional rivalry among them but it brings bad name for the hospital.
