Two killed, two cars snatched in last 24 hours

Two persons were killed, while many were deprived of two cars and other valuables in 17 crime incidents, reported in the Capital City during the last 24 hours. Islamabad police arrested 24 suspects during search operation in various areas and also nabbed 15 persons for their alleged involvement in car theft, having illegal arms, drug pushing, bootlegging and fake documents.
During last 24 hours City Police have recovered two tampered vehicles, three pistols, 103 bottles of liquor, 178 canes of beer, 2.07kgs charas from the detained accused.
According to spokesman of Islamabad Police, SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan instructed the Capital Police to conduct search operations to keep an eye on suspected persons.
Shahzad Town, Industrial Area, Bhara Kahu, Tarnol, Sihala and Secretariat Police Stations have conducted the search operations in their respective areas and arrested 24 suspects during the operation, the spokesman said. He said during the operation police checked parking areas, under construction plazas, forest areas and slums.
Aabpara police recovered a body of a youth from Rose and Jesmine Garden near Kashmir Highway who was later identified as Qaiser Mehmood resident of Rawalpindi. Police took the body into custody and after autopsy the body was handed over to his relatives.
Brother of deceased Qaiser Mehmood, Nasir informed the police that his brother came to Islamabad to meet some friends. Police started investigation and also questioned the friends of the deceased.
Some unknown gunmen killed Shaukat Usman, a resident of Sohan in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town Police Station, when he was returning from duty. Police was informed that two unknown gunmen opened fire on Shaukat Usman. However, the cause of murder has not been ascertained yet.
Kohsar Police during routine checking stopped a person Amir Maseeh and recovered 15 bottles of liquor from his possession.
Sabzi Mandi Police during regular patrolling stopped two persons namely Rahat Gul and Muhammad Nadeem and recovered one pistol and 1.02kg charas from them. Sabzi Mandi Police also impounded a Suzuki bearing registration No LEF-6557 when the documents were found fake.
Golrra Police recovered 103 bottles of liquor and 178 canes of beer in two incidents and arrested two bootleggers namely Muhammad Qasim and Murtaza. Police also impounded the car (NZ-785). Golra Police recovered a stolen car (Yellow Cab No LOF-2282 from Muhammad Imran.
