US corn futures fell their daily limit early on Tuesday, posting their biggest drop in a month and backing down further from last week's record rise near $8 a bushel on improving US crop weather and concerns about flagging demand from the ethanol sector. As of 10:41 am CDT (1541 GMT), July corn was down 27-1/2 cents to $7.55 per bushel, after falling its 30-cent limit at $7.52-1/2.
July wheat was down 21 cents at $7.22 a bushel and July soybeans were down 18 cents at $13.64-3/4 a bushel.
