Punjab Agriculture Minister, Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh has directed his department to expedite research work besides improving performance of department's wings working on agricultural research to enhance productivity. He chaired a meeting to review the performance of the agriculture department and its research wings, here on Tuesday.
He also directed the high-ups of the provincial agricultural department to convert their research farms into model farms so as the growers could get know how to increase their productivity by observing the farming practices of these model farms. Additional Secretary Agriculture, Director General (Agri Extension) and officers from research, water management, Pesto Control and other related departments attended the meeting. The minister said that the director generals of all the wings of the department would be held responsible for the performance of their wings and their own performance would also be monitored.
