Thin business, a few rates change on grain market

A few changes were seen on the on the wholesale grain market on Monday as both buyers and sellers failed to find meeting ground over the prices, dealers said. On the cereal side makai after maintaining a stable trend for several days, fell sharply due to steady arrivals from upcountry centres, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type maintained weekend level at Rs 3600 and good type shed Rs 75 to Rs 3650, other types retained prices in process of trading, they said. On the seed side, til low type did not move any side at Rs 3500 while the best type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 3800, cottonseeds oilcake with bag inferior type retained its last level at Rs 1380 while good type gained Rs 10 to Rs 1410, they said. Prices on the grams side fluctuated but closed at the weekend levels, they said.
