PM, President strongly condemns Quetta church attack

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and President Mamnoon Hussain on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a church in Quetta.

In a separate message, Abbasi said the whole nation was united in the fight against terrorism and had the determination to confront it.

The Prime Minister praised the security forces for their prompt response, PM office media wing said in a press release.

He also expressed his sympathies with the victims' families and wished for early recovery of the injured.

President Mamnoon Hussain also expressed the strong resolve against terrorism, the president said that it could not be weaken by cowardice terrorist acts. The terrorists would be taken to their logical end.

The President also directed for provision of best medical treatment to the injured, said a press release.

Terrorists had attacked a church in Quetta this morning which was effectively repulsed by the security forces, killing them.
