Samsung's future phones may use palm reading as password

Samsung might let its mobile phone users remember their phone password in a unique way, according to Samsung's published patent application.
There have been many ways that help users remember their password, like getting hints or answering security questions. But these ways are not reliable as any intruder or friend can guess them.
Samsung has come up with a unique method to help in remembering a password. This new method is through palm reading. It can also be referred to as biometric identification, CNET reported.

The recent patent application shows that the company has been testing the palm reading method of guessing forgotten passwords. This new system will scan your palm lines and display partial characters giving hints to its user. The phone will not directly give the password but will hide the letters in the distinct patterns in your hand. This would help the user in guessing the correct password.
However, there is no surety that this system will be seen in any future Samsung phones as this is just a published patent application.
Currently, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 use iris scanning, fingerprint scanning, facial recognition on top of PIN and pattern-based passwords.
